Navigate with Ease with the GPSMAP 520
With just a few buttons and a simple, intuitive interface, the GPSMAP 520 makes navigating virtually effortless. And instead of a traditional basemap, the 520 has a basemap of worldwide satellite images. It also has an SD card slot so you can add additional detailed maps without connecting to a computer
| VERY IMPORTANT: "S" models have built in sounders and can connect directly to a transducer. Other models will need an external sounder (GSD 21 or GSD 22) AND a transducer compatible with the GSD unit. |

The GSD 22 is a powerful remote sounder that plugs directly into the Garmin Marine Network for use with our network chartplotters — or into the new Garmin CANet™ for use with the new series chartplotters. Ultrascroll™ technology keeps the display scrolling at live-action speeds, while the unit’s digital design and up to 2 kW of transmit power (depending on transducer used) provide extraordinary target definition and deep water performance. Transmit power and receiver gain automatically adjust to produce excellent shallow water performance as well. The GSD 22 is dual frequency (200/50 kHz) and works with everything from a standard 500 W transom mount transducer to heavy-duty 2 kW thru-hull or in-hull transducers. Reaches depths to 5,000 feet. |

Add Sonar to the GPSMAP 520s
Where applicable, the sounder version, GPSMAP 520s, comes with a powerful dual frequency transducer that clearly paints depth contours, fish targets and structure whether you’re fishing in freshwater or off the coast. The 520 and 520s are also CANet™ compatible, so you can share sounder data with another chartplotter on your boat.
Add Extras to the GPSMAP 520 with BlueChart g2 Vision
With the optional BlueChart g2 Vision SD card, you can add a whole new dimension of exceptional features to your chartplotter.
- 3D mariner’s eye view or fish eye view provides you with a 3-dimensional perspective of map information, both above the waterline and below it.
- High-resolution satellite images and aerial photographs help you orient yourself in unfamiliar areas.
- Auto Guidance technology searches through all relevant charts to create a route you can actually follow — one that avoids obstacles, shallow water, buoys and other obstructions.
